The upcoming summer transfer window is expected to be a time for significant transition at Real Madrid. A number of players will be leaving the club, and the club will be making moves in the market to replace these players in the best way possible.

The attack is one of the areas most likely to see a change before the commencement of the 2023-2024 season. There are reports of Karim Benzema entertaining offers from other clubs, and that he might end up leaving the Madrid side in this transfer window. Mariano Diaz is also expected to leave the club in the coming months.

A number of options have been reported to be linked with the club to replace these leaving players, or even support them if they remain at the club for the next season.

The most high-profile name being linked with Real Madrid is Harry Kane, who has played most of his senior career for Tottenham Hotspurs. The current English National team captain has been performing at a high level for club and country for the last few seasons.

Diario AS reports him to be Ancelotti’s favorite candidate to bring to Santiago Bernabeu. However, he will cost a lot, especially with Daniel Levy in charge of negotiations for his transfer.

Another option being considered is Roberto Firmino, who is set to leave Liverpool after eight seasons at the club. His play style resembles that of Karim Benzema, as he also tends to drift towards the midfield in order to support attacking plays.

Firmino can join the Madrid side as a free agent, and would provide Ancelotti with an experienced option to rotate his starting striker with.

Lastly, another low-cost option being considered by Madrid closer at home is Espanyol’s Joselu, who is currently 33 years old, and came up through the ranks at Real Madrid. He made his Madrid debut under Mourinho, and played 18 minutes for the club, in which he scored 2 goals.

Espanyol’s relegation this season will mean the Madrid side will be able to obtain him at a discount this summer. Thus, the club is actively looking for their next striker in case Karim Benzema leaves the club this summer.

As long-term solutions like Endrick or Haaland are not likely to be available to the club this summer, the club executives will be looking towards these mentioned strikers to bolster the attack for the next season.
