There has been no significant transfer activity at Real Madrid in the current winter transfer window. The Merengues were expected to get a defender in January with long-term injuries to Militao and Alaba, but such a move has also been ruled out.
Apart from any additions, there have been no departures from the club. However, one player might be close to a move away from the Madrid club before the current transfer window ends.
As MARCA has reported, the Real Madrid Castilla winger, Peter Federico is closing on a move to Valencia, and Raul Gonzalez has also confirmed his impending move in his last press conference after the match against Linares. In this regard, the Castilla head coach commented:
“His [Federico’s] situation will be resolved tomorrow [this Monday]. An agreement has been reached. It was a matter of signing documents.”
The youngster was already close to a move to Valencia in the last summer transfer window. However, the Valencia President, Peter Lim, did not give his approval in time, and Raul also mentioned this episode in his presser:
“He’s a guy who already in the summer felt that his process here was finished, and all that remains is to wish him all the best. He has contributed a lot. He has grown a lot. He leaves this bubble, and we will be watching him and supporting him, as with all those who have come out of Castilla.”
The 21-year-old plays primarily on the right wing but is also comfortable on the opposite side of the pitch. While he made his debut with the first team in the 2021-22 season, the forward has remained a part of the reserve team and has only got residual minutes under Raul as well this season.
