After getting a morale-boosting victory against FC Barcelona in the last El Clasico, Real Madrid return to action this Sunday with a match against Rayo Vallecano.
Girona have already played and won their match for matchday 12, and the Merengues will have to come out with a victory in this match to get their top spot on the league table back.
The squad for the match has been announced by Real Madrid, and the starting left-back for the Merengues, Ferland Mendy is not a part of this list.
Aurelien Tchouameni is also out for some time, as he suffered an injury in the Barcelona match, while Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and Dani Ceballos also still remain unavailable for Ancelotti.
This is also the first official squad that includes the star summer signing Arda Guler, while Nico Paz has also been called up from the reserve team.
