Official: Real Madrid squad for Copa del Rey match against Arandina

Date:

Real Madrid begin their Copa Del Rey campaign as the defending champions when they step onto the field to take on 4th-tier Spanish side, Arandina CF.

The Merengues are coming from a 1-0 victory at home and as indicated by Carlo, there are many changes in the lineup expected for this fixture, with the bench strength to be given a chance.

Although many of the first-team starters have been called up, they will begin the match on the bench and will only be substituted if the team is in a precarious situation. Vinícius Júnior did get minutes against Mallorca but is not called up for this tie.

Arda Güler is expected to start this game. He was named in the squad for the game against Mallorca as well but was not used as a substitute. But today, Madridistas may get to see him make his debut.

Lucas Vazquez suffered a blow to the semi-tendinous muscle on his right thigh and will be out for 3 weeks. Eduardo Camavinga is also one of the players named in the squad, as he makes his return from injury.

Moreover, Tchouameni – who performed the center-back duties in the last fixture – is rested along with Toni Kroos.
