Despite having been marred with injuries to crucial players – three of them being ACL tears for Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, and Eder Militao – Real Madrid sit at the top of the table in La Liga and have won all their UEFA Champions League group stage games.

Now, according to Marca, the Merengues can see these injury problems evaporate to a significant extent as Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy, Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler, and Vinicius Junior, will all be available for selection after the Christmas break, and will be available for the Spanish Super Cup beginning from 10th January.

Carvajal and Vinicius are expected to return earlier than the others, and can have minutes in the match against Mallorca on 3rd January, while Camavinga and Mendy will be available for the Spanish Super Cup.

The Club will be more cautious with Guler, but he will also be available for the Super Cup and the league game against Mallorca.

Real Madrid fans may finally get to see Arda Güler donning their jersey on the pitch for the first time as the Turkish attacking midfielder has been unable to make his Real Madrid debut yet.

Different injuries have kept him unable to play for his new club for almost the entirety of the first half of the season, but now has the chance to show everyone what he’s capable of with all eyes expected to be fixated on him.

The Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr. has had a swift recovery and it is anticipated that he will also be named in the squad for the Mallorca game.

In his absence, Carlo Ancelotti put the goal scoring duties on Rodrygo, Bellingham, Brahim, and Joselu and they did not disappoint. With the Brazilian’s return, he is expected to play a crucial part in the team’s success from here on.

Ancelotti couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2024 with important players returning from their injuries.

Now the only headache for the Italian manager would be the defense, as they are thin on options and Tchouameni is expected to partner Rüdiger – the other option being Castilla’s Raul Asencio. The signing of a new center-back in the winter is also not ruled out.
