Real Madrid ensured that there were not many hiccups as they cruised to a comfortable 2-4 victory against CA Osasuna away from home.

A hat trick of assists from Valverde, a brace from Vinícius, and goals from Dani Carvajal and Brahim Díaz meant the Merengues continued their dominance at the top of the table.

Los Blancos have now scored 8 goals in their last two games and both games were without Jude Bellingham on the pitch.

Here is how the Real Madrid players fared in the 2-4 win.

Player ratings:

Andriy Lunin: 7.0

Another solid performance as he made sure Osasuna do not get back into the game by making some crucial saves. Could not prevent the first goal, but a better effort could have been made to save the second one.

Dani Carvajal: 7.5

The Spaniard made some great overlapping runs and was involved in almost every attack. Scored his 5th goal of the season. Despite some momentary lapses, he put in a solid display.

Antonio Rüdiger: 7.5

Known for his defensive attributes, he also shined with the ball at his feet with some pinpoint passing – which Toni Kroos would be proud of. Found Vinícius through such a pass but he was unable to find the back of the net.

Aurelien Tchouaméni: 6.5

Decent game defensively. Kept the Osasuna attack at bay but the Frenchman could have done better with his decision-making.

Ferland Mendy: 6.5

Another solid display from Mendy at the back. Had better linkup play with Vinícius and kept his nerve as Osasuna applied pressure down his flank.

Eduardo Camavinga: 7.0

The Frenchman showed why Ancelotti gave him a second consecutive start. Impressed the coaching staff and fans alike by winning 9 out of 11 duels but got a yellow card for a rather clumsy tackle which could have been avoided.

Fede Valverde: 8.5

The Uruguayan was deployed in a more advanced role for this game. His heatmap would show that he covered most part of the ground – which he usually does. A hat trick of assists to boast about. Showed why he is one of the world’s best at the moment.

Toni Kroos: 7.0

A typical Toni Kroos performance. Did not break a sweat when Osasuna were pressing. His pace resulted in him being caught out on the defensive transition as Osasuna took advantage of that.

Brahim Díaz: 7.5

The newly turned Moroccan national, had a quiet game in the beginning but then began to open up with his feints and dribbles. He consistently troubled the Osasuna defense and it was his goal that put the game to bed.

Vinícius Júnior: 9.0

It’s hard to find words to describe how well he has played since returning from injury. The second goal in particular was scored from a tight angle which just showed his class. The Brazilian could easily have had a few more. However, got a yellow card for protesting and will miss the next game.

Rodrygo: 6.0

It is visible that he lacks confidence up front at the moment as despite doing almost everything right he is still unable to get on the scoresheet for Real Madrid. Tried to score a stunning solo goal in the dying moments of the game, but was unsuccessful.

Substitutes:

Luka Modrić: 6.5

The game was already done and dusted when he came on and did not have to do much. Still came close to scoring on one occasion, when his shot was saved and Vazquez’s poached goal on that ball was ruled out for offside.

Nacho: 6.5

Has had average performances for Real Madrid this season but he was decent this time around, clearing out any danger which came his way.

Lucas Vázquez: N/A

Had just 7 touches on the ball despite playing 13 minutes hence, insufficient time to warrant a rating. Still was able to put the ball in the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Fran García: N/A

The left-back had just 9 touches to show for hence, insufficient time to warrant a rating.

Arda Güler: N/A

The Turk almost scored from the halfway line and he might be pushing Ancelotti for a start sometime soon. But not enough time to warrant a rating.
