Jude Bellingham has arguably been the signing of the season for Real Madrid and is currently the best player in the world. When he is on the pitch, Real Madrid look like a whole different team altogether.
Carlo Ancelotti has managed to unlock the best version of Bellingham and would want the player to keep up the form since the season has now entered a crucial stage – in La Liga and Champions League.
Jude was last seen wearing a Real Madrid shirt in the game against Girona where he suffered an ankle injury after scoring a brace. Since then, the Englishman has been out of the team for the fixtures against RB Leipzig, Rayo Vallecano, and Sevilla.
The Merengues have scored no more than 1 goal in each of these games, which goes on to show the stark difference, especially on the attacking front, in Real Madrid’s attacking abilities in the presence and absence of Bellingham.
Real Madrid managed to scrap out a 1-0 victory against Sevilla. Their next game is against Valencia and, according to Mundo Deportivo, the technical and medical staff at Real Madrid are optimistic that the 20-year-old will be in the squad for the duel against Valencia.
However, Ancelotti has made it clear in the past that only the fully fit players will take on the pitch. The Italian would surely not want to take a risk with Bellingham, especially with the next game coming up to be the crucial 2nd leg against Leipzig in the Champions League.
Jude Bellingham, in a short period of time, has won the fans over and they would want to see him back in action as soon as possible, but they may have to be patient, until at least one more match day. But the Englishman making a swift recovery can also not be ruled out, which will allow him to return for the Valencia game at the Mestalla.
But emotions aside, Real Madrid are comfortable on the league table as things stand, and the Champions League is a competition they hold dear, wanting their best players to perform on the biggest nights. Will Jude don the jersey against Valencia, or will the Bernabeu faithful get to see him against Leipzig? It will be interesting to see.
