Real Madrid Castilla victorious in their last away game of the season

Unlike the first team, it has been a rather average season for Real Madrid Castilla. Last year, the team had been competing for a promotion in the last games of the season, but this time, they will only be able to retain their position in the Primera Federacion, as they stand 9th in the table.

However, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, the last away game of the season still brought some joy to Raul’s men, as they were able to get a 1-0 victory against Intercity, thanks to a goal from Jeremy de Leon scored in the 37th minute of the match.

After getting ahead on the scoresheet, the Merengues were able to end the game relatively peacefully, especially as neither of these teams had anything to play for. Intercity have already also retained their presence in the Primera Federacion.

Still, the hosts tried to shake things up as they introduced some substitutes in the second half to turn the game in their favor. On the other hand, Raul kept his trust with his starting lineup, and did not make any changes in the team till the full-time whistle.

Having won this game, Raul will be looking to lead his team into the final game of the season against Malaga, with the aim of finishing the season with a victory.

For Raul, this upcoming game can be even more special, as it is still not clear whether he will be continuing on the Real Madrid Castilla bench for the next season, or will leave to take the next step in his career by joining a top-flight side in Spain or another league in Europe.

But irrespective of Raul’s future, it is clear that this Castilla team will be looking to improve its results in the next season, and once again compete for a promotion, keeping in line with the values of the White club.
