Real Madrid wrote another chapter in their illustrious UEFA Champions League history last night as they beat Bayern Munich to reach the final of the competition, where they are set to face Borussia Dortmund.

The way in which the Merengues advanced to the final left most fans in a state of ecstasy, as Joselu scored two goals in the 88th and 90th minutes to bring his team back from the brink of defeat as Alphonso Davies had scored earlier to give his side the lead in the tie.

As most of the euphoria from this victory has cooled down, there was a piece of bad news awaiting the club’s fans today. According to MARCA, the midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has suffered a stress injury in his left foot. However, the midfielder’s presence in the final of the UCL, which is scheduled for 1st June, is not in danger.

Tchouameni was replaced by Eduardo Camavinga in the match last night in the 70th minute, a few minutes after Davies had scored the goal for Bayern. At that moment, there were no signs of any injury, and the player was actually upset because of his substitution, as he had played a good game, recovering balls frequently with his interceptions.

Still, this injury could be a source of worry for the club and the player himself, as he had suffered such an injury in his left foot only in the last October as well. At that time, he had to miss 11 games as he remained on the sidelines for 47 days.

Reports from France also indicate that the midfielder has been playing through pain for some weeks now, something that has kept him from playing at his best level. However, he decided to help Madrid, especially as Carlo Ancelotti was already missing some key players in defense.
