There is no denying the sheer embarrassment of riches at Real Madrid at the moment. Los Blancos are currently home to several of the world’s best players, and it comes as a result of their precise planning. Even then, few could have planned for the revelation that the big summer signing of Real Madrid would have turned out to be.
Jude Bellingham, still just aged 20, has already taken La Liga and Spanish football by storm. Arriving from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the English midfielder has already justified his price tag and more. However, it is not just praise from the capital of Spain that continues to push him forward, but also from important figures back in his home country.
As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the man who just recently sent a lot of praise towards Bellingham happens to be none other than Gareth Southgate, the head coach of the English men’s National team.
The former England player continues to assess his nation’s finest ahead of the European championship coming up ahead, and Bellingham is definitely going to be among those names that are headed to Germany in the summer.
Speaking about the 20-year-old midfield prodigy, Southgate stated that the thing that drives the player is his own desire:
“He (Bellingham) has an insatiable desire to win. He’s shown amazing maturity to settle into the biggest club in the world in terms of their history, and to have the impact that he’s had with the number of goals, big goals, winning goals.”
It becomes increasingly clear that the reputation of Bellingham within the camp of the English National team seems to be sparkling, and that just adds to the surreal debut season he has had.
With 22 goals and 10 assists to his name this season with Real Madrid, Bellingham has also helped his team win the La Liga title, the Spanish Super Cup, and prepares to now face off against former side Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final in Wembley.
