While most of Real Madrid fans would have been disappointed with the failure of the club to bring in Kylian Mbappe or another elite striker, Los Blancos still had a very fruitful transfer window.
The Royal Whites not only brought in the very highly rated Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund but also signed the veteran striker Joselu on loan. Both these players have been playing an important role in the squad and are key players for Carlo Ancelotti this season.
In addition to these players, another attacker was brought who has the potential to become one of the best players in the world. This was the Turkish attacking midfielder Arda Guler, whom Real Madrid got right from the jaws of Barcelona, who were quite close to signing him in the summer.
However, the youngster has not had an ideal start to his life at the Santiago Bernabeu, as he suffered an injury right before the first game of the season. He has been out for around one month with this injury and was expected to get back to action in the coming matchdays.
However, Real Madrid has now officially announced that Guler has suffered another setback, which has been diagnosed by the club’s medical team as an injury on the left rectus femoris muscle.
While the club has not given a timeframe for his return from injury, Spanish media reports claim he can be out for another three weeks.
Guler was expected to make his debut in the white shirt in the match against Las Palmas; however, he will now have to wait a few weeks more before making his first cameo with Real Madrid.
Guler’s injury further depletes the ranks of players available to Carlo Ancelotti, as Real Madrid are already missing other important players like Dani Carvajal, Vinicius Junior, Thibaut Courtois, and Eder Militao, with the last two out for the rest of the season with ACL tears.
