La Liga action awaits as Real Madrid prepare themselves to take on 5th-placed Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Merengues have lost form and their condition has worsened as Aurelien Tchouameni has been ruled out for the next month, confirming the fact that the Frenchman will miss some crucial fixtures.

Real Madrid’s midfield is stacked with options but the Madrid leaders are confused as to why Arda Güler – and Endrick – are not receiving any play time, considering the duo has not played much in the last five games.

Carlo Ancelotti emphasised on the fact that both the players have been training well but right now the idea is to turn the situation around and not just hand out minutes.

Maybe the Italian manager has been missing a trick here since the Turk and Brazilian have been really impressive and could have helped avoid most of the poor results this season.

Eder Militao was tried at right-back in training for this fixture but it did not yield the best results.

On the other hand, Kylian Mbappe was not called up by France for the break, with the Frenchman telling Didier Deschamps that he wants to regain his best form.

It is good to know that Mbappe is aware of his form lately and asked for a break. Hopefully, the Frenchman makes the most of the break and this match against Osasuna could be a turn for good.

Federico Valverde was substituted at half-time in the last match as he had some back stiffness but the Italian emphasised that the midfielder is fine.

Speaking of Madrid’s opponents, Osasuna have been playing some eye-catching football this season. Sitting at 5th, Los Rojillos are the only side in Spain to have defeated table toppers FC Barcelona.

Ante Budimir and Bryan Zaragoza have been the wreckers in chief for Osasuna, and with the Madrid defence in their worst shape possible, the duo can look to exploit their vulnerabilities.

Useful contributions from Abel Bretones, Lucas Torro and Ruben Garcia have propelled Osasuna and would hope to continue their good run of form.

Real Madrid would hope to put the past two abysmal weeks behind them and look forward from hereon as this game could be the start of a much needed turnaround for the club.
