Having been linked with Real Madrid for years, the French star Kylian Mbappe now actually seems to be coming closer to his dream of playing in the white shirt.

It was looking likely for some months that this would be the last season of the French forward in Paris Saint Germain, but up to now, the player himself had not addressed the situation. However, now that his team is no longer competing for any trophy, Mbappe has himself announced that he will be leaving the Parisian club this summer.

As MARCA has reported, the French forward posted a video of himself on his social media accounts and shared the following message:

“I wanted to talk to you all. I had always said that I would talk to you all when the time was right. I wanted to tell everyone that this is my last year at PSG. I will not renew. I will finish my adventure in a few weeks. I will play my last match at Parc des Princes on Sunday.”

“There are many emotions, many years where I had the possibility and the great honor of being a member of the biggest club in France, which allowed me to come this far, to have my first experience in a club with so much pressure and clearly to grow, alongside some of the greatest champions in history. I have also grown as a person, with all the glory and mistakes I have made.”

The Frenchman went on to thank the club, its fans, and the different coaches he had worked with while at PSG and ensured that he would remember his time at the Parisian club fondly.

As far as his next destination is concerned, the forward did not speak out on this topic, but Real Madrid appears to be the front-runner to secure his signature this summer.

He has already been linked with the Merengues ever since he broke out with AS Monaco, and multiple reliable media outlets have already claimed that he has been in talks with Los Blancos since last February.

However, nothing has been officially announced yet, and Madrid fans will have to wait a bit to be certain that the long-awaited Frenchman will be a part of their team for the next season.
