Real Madrid interested in four Premier League players for the next year

Date:

The 2024 summer transfer window has closed only just a few weeks ago, and there already is news circulating about the plans of Real Madrid for next year’s summer window.

In the last transfer window, Los Blancos added one of the best forwards currently in the world, Kylian Mbappe, to further bolster their attack. He was joined in the Merengue team by the Brazilian Endrick, who is also showing very promising signs in the brief cameos he getting under Ancelotti.

Thus, Real Madrid will be looking to strengthen some other areas of the team next year. According to Mundo Deportivo, the European champions already have four targets in mind for this purpose, and all of them are currently playing in the Premier League.

The first one is the Manchester City midfielder Rodri, who has been linked with Los Blancos for quite some time now. He is a key part of Pep Guardiola’s team, and the Citizens are already looking to renew his contract that goes till 2027 to ward off any interest from the Merengues.

However, the sporting consequences of the trial that the Premier League side is undergoing for FFP breaches can force them to part ways with some players including Rodri.

The second player that the report links with Real Madrid is the Liverpool fullback, Alexander Arnold. The 25-year-old has his contract with the Merseyside club expiring next year, and he is yet to reach a renewal with his current club. Thus, he can also join Ancelotti’s team as a free agent.

Two centre-backs from the Premier League are also again being linked with Real Madrid. The first one of these is the Arsenal defender William Saliba, who is a key player for Arteta and has a contract till 2027.

Thus, getting him will be quite difficult, and because of this, Los Blancos are also keeping their eyes on the Tottenham defender, Cuti Romero, who also has a contract with the London side till 2027.
