Following the postponement of their La Liga match against Valencia due to the DANA floodings, Real Madrid are now preparing for their next match in the UEFA Champions League against AC Milan.
For this purpose, the Merengues held their penultimate training session before the Milan game on Sunday.
As MARCA has reported, the most prominent feature of this training session was the presence of Rodrygo Goes, who has returned to training with the rest of his teammates. The Brazilian had been unavailable due to injury for the last El Clasico but had been training with his boots on and on the grass.
Thus, he has taken the next step in his recovery process and can be named in the squad for the upcoming UCL game between Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Another notable feature of this training session was the return of Fede Valverde to the group training. The Uruguayan had worked alone inside the facilities a day prior, but it was not because of a physical problem but only because Carlo Ancelotti allowed some of his key players to alternate individual and team training to manage their physical load.
Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham had also worked alone inside the facilities in another recent training session.
The training session on Sunday began with some activation, possession, and finishing exercises, and the team then went on to work on some tactical aspects. The training session concluded with some small-sided matches and shooting on goal.
Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba, and Dani Carvajal remained absent from this training session as they continue to recover from their injuries.
The Merengues now have one more training session left before they take on AC Milan in an exciting UCL match which will see the two teams with the most UCL titles to their name face off against one another.
