With their schedules and calendars getting increasingly busier, the top-class footballers have seen a gradual increase in the number of injuries in recent years. This situation is particularly worrisome for big clubs like Real Madrid, where most of the players also have to play for their national teams and get very little time for rest.
This is already proving to be a problem for Ancelotti at this starting phase of the season, as the Italian coach has had to cope with the absences of several of his key players.
There was further bad news for him in the last match against Espanyol, as two Real Madrid players suffered physical issues, Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal. Previously, it was reported that the Englishman might not be available for the upcoming few matches, while Carvajal’s issue was not that serious.
However, as MARCA has reported, it was the Spaniard who missed the training session this morning as the team prepares for the upcoming match against Alaves.
The fullback is not suffering from a muscle injury, but he is still in a lot of pain. He had to ask for a substitution only two minutes after levelling the scores for Real Madrid in the match against Espanyol.
On the other hand, Jude Bellingham is not thinking about taking a break and appeared in this training session with the protective equipment that he had been using previously. He believes that continuing to play is the best way forward for him to reach his maximum level as he has only recently returned from another injury.
Thus, Bellingham is expected to be a part of the squad that Real Madrid announces for the Alaves match, but Carvajal’s inclusion is still raising some doubts. Another positive news for the Merengues from this session was the return of Dani Ceballos to training on the grass, but away from the group.
