Although the team has already won the La Liga title and is only one step away from being crowned as the Champions of Europe, there still are significant changes expected in the Real Madrid squad for the next season.

One of the most-awaited targets of the club, Kylian Mbappe, looks set to finally join the Merengues in the upcoming months, while another Brazilian starlet, Endrick, is also set to join his new club this July, and the club was planning that he will start training in the Spanish capital once he turns 18 years of age.

However, these plans could possibly have received a blow last night as MARCA reports that the striker had to leave the pitch on a stretcher as he played for Palmeiras against Independiente de Valle in the Copa Libertadores.

The Brazilian asked for a substitution on the 60th-minute mark, as he lay on the ground with his right leg straightened, and looking clearly worried with his hands on his head. Palmeiras’ medical services rushed to the ground to put him on a stretcher and take him to his side’s bench.

After disembarking from the stretcher, Endrick took a few difficult steps to reach his seat, and put an ice pack on his adductor region a few moments later, looking quite distraught during all this time.

Real Madrid will definitely be worried about this setback suffered by the striker who is soon set to join their side, but another side that will be even more worried about this state of affairs will be the Brazil national team.

This injury comes almost a month before the Copa America kicks off, and Endrick has already been named in the Brazilian squad for this competition. Brazil’s first match in the competition is set to take place on 24th June against Costa Rica, and hopefully, Endrick will be fit enough to feature in this match.
