After steamrolling Girona 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu over the weekend, Real Madrid landed in Germany on Monday, in order to take on Leipzig in the Champions League knockout stages.

Against Girona, a few minutes after scoring his 2nd goal of the night, Jude Bellingham was substituted as a precautionary measure because the Englishman had faced a foul as well before that goal.

However, the Englishman was ruled out for the next 2-3 weeks after he suffered a high-grade sprain to his left ankle. This will keep him out for the next 4 fixtures and is expected to return for the 2nd leg against Leipzig.

Antonio Rüdiger stays out for this match and is not named in the squad. Alvaro Carrillo and Jacobo Ramón along with Nacho are named in the squad as the three centre-backs.

Youngsters Mario Martín and the impressive Nico Paz are part of a midfield that looks formidable even in Bellingham’s absence.
