Real Madrid return to league action after steamrolling Girona 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu and a narrow victory against Leipzig in Germany. The next opponent for Real Madrid is Rayo Vallecano.

Jude Bellingham suffered a high-grade sprain to his left ankle and was ruled out for 2-3 weeks (4 matches). As a result, he is not named in the matchday squad.

Real Madrid have named only 5 defensive options for this fixture, as Ferland Mendy and Rüdiger were also ruled out with an injury. Jacobo Ramón, the tall centre-back from Castilla is part of the list.

Even without Bellingham, Ancelotti would be spoiled for choices in the midfield. Tchouamèni may start the game in defence though due to his recent form.
