After a disappointing game against Atletico Madrid, which saw Real Madrid lose two points right at the very end of the match, the Merengues are set to return to their favourite competition, the UEFA Champions League.

Los Blancos will face the French side Lille in their upcoming match and have already announced the squad for this game.

The most notable absence from this list is Thibaut Courtois, who suffered an adductor injury during the Madrid derby. He is expected to return to action after the next international break. In his absence, Andriy Lunin will take his place between the sticks, while Fran Gonzalez and Sergio Mestre will be his backups.

With the exception of David Alaba, Ancelotti has the full defensive line available for this game. Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, and Mendy will once again form the team’s backline for this game, while Lucas Vazquez, Vallejo, Fran Garcia and Jacobo Ramon will be their backups.

Dani Ceballos remains unavailable for this game, and Tchouameni, Valverde, and Bellingham are expected to start this game once again. Ancelotti might decide to field one of Camavinga or Modric if he fields a four-man midfield. Arda Guler will also be available for Real Madrid.

In the attacking line, the most notable presence is that of Kylian Mbappe, who has returned to availability rather quickly after missing the Madrid derby. He might not yet start the game, so Vinicius and Rodrygo will once again be the starters. Endrick might also get a chance to start this game. Brahim Diaz remains unavailable with his abductor injury.
