Real Madrid qualified for the knock-out rounds of the UEFA Champions League after their victory over Braga in the fourth group stage match. The Merengues played a very good match against the Portuguese side and came out as the victors with a 3-0 scoreline.

However, Real Madrid had to get this victory without one of their talismans in attack, i.e. Jude Bellingham. The Englishman has had a very good start to life at Real Madrid, as he has scored ten goals in eleven La Liga appearances and another three goals in the Champions League.

The attacking midfielder suffered a knock to his shoulder in the match against Rayo Vallecano but was able to remain in the match after this knock. Thus, it seemed like the injury was not really a concern but now Real Madrid have officially provided an update on his situation which shows that the midfielder has a dislocated shoulder:

“After the tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham, he has been diagnosed with a case of anterior instability of the left shoulder, as a consequence of his recent dislocation. Bellingham is ruled out for today’s match against Valencia.”

Bellingham made it to the squad list for the match against Valencia, but now the club has communicated that the Englishman would not be able to play.

Thus, he is also likely to remain at the Valdebebas for the international break, but the English Football Association will make a final decision on whether Bellingham will remain at Real Madrid or should their own doctors assess his situation.

The midfielder is expected to remain out for two weeks, and if everything goes as planned, he will return after the international break.
