As the current season approaches its end and the upcoming summer transfer window gets closer, Real Madrid are bracing themselves for some very hectic months ahead.

The Merengues are expected to be working on several files in this window, with the most prominent being that of Kylian Mbappe. However, in addition to the Frenchman, the Whites are also expected to be working on the possible arrivals of Alphonso Davies and Leny Yoro.

All these operations reflect only one part of the club’s business in the transfer window, as Real Madrid will also have to take care of some departures. In this regard, one of the players who has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu is the midfielder, Dani Ceballos.

As previously reported here, the Spaniard has not had a season to remember up to now and is thinking about a departure from the club, especially as his lack of prominence at Madrid can cost him a place in the Spain squad.

However, his lack of involvement with Real Madrid does not mean he does not have active suitors in the market. This is clear from a report from Mundo Deportivo, which claims that the midfielder is attracting significant attention from the Premier League, with Newcastle United showing a keen interest in particular.

This season, Ceballos has accumulated only 14 appearances in La Liga and another 3 appearances in UEFA Champions League. He has only one assist to his name in these games, has got only one league start in the 2-1 win against Las Palmas, and another in the Copa del Rey tie against Arandina.

He is currently valued at €8 million, and thus Real Madrid will be able to recoup only around half of the €16.5 million they paid for him to Real Betis back in 2017 if he is sold for his market value this summer.
