Kylian Mbappé, who has been linked with Real Madrid for years, is arguably one of the biggest footballing stars on the planet right now. The French star was on the brink of joining Real Madrid in 2022, but the move fell through.

But after his current contract expires with PSG, he will be on the brink of joining his dream club as details are being finalized between the Frenchman and Real Madrid.

Before everything went through, Mbappé was invited to the Elysée for a gala dinner, which was hosted by Emmanuel Macron – the French President. As Mundo Deportivo has reported, amongst the guests were Kylian Mbappe, the Emir of Qatar and owner of PSG Al-Thani as well as Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of the French club.

Kylian arrived in a black van, sporting a suit. Nervousness might have struck many Madridistas around the world, to hear the news about this dinner because they felt like a similar situation as of 2022 would be upon them where the Emir of Qatar and French President pressurized him into staying at the club.

However, it was a sigh of relief since the PSG sources reported that the dinner was not going to be a place to try to change the striker’s mind and renew with the club he joined in 2017. Kylian was just a mere guest at the dinner, where everyone was aware of his decision.

It all seems said and done, with this saga finally coming to an end after a long wait. Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid will be getting what they want and PSG would end up with nothing, after buying the star player for a hefty sum in 2017.

Upon his arrival, Kylian will receive a signing bonus from Real Madrid, but that would be the least of his concerns as the 25-year-old will be fulfilling his dream and potentially carrying forward the legacy of his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
