Injuries have not been kind to Real Madrid at the start of this 2024-25 season. The Merengues have not been able to count on important players like David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga at all this season, while other players like Jude Bellingham, Dani Ceballos, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao, and Ferland Mendy have faced some physical issues.

Another player who is currently out for a significant period is the Moroccan forward, Brahim Diaz. The former Manchester City forward suffered an abductor injury during the match against Real Sociedad and is expected to remain on the sidelines for the next two to three months.

This was a painful blow for a player who was contributing well to Real Madrid’s attacking play this season. However, as MARCA has reported, he seemed to have gotten over the initial shock of the injury as he spoke at the Forbes 30 Under 30 event at Cibeles Palace in Madrid.

Brahim was already looking ahead to returning to the field in even better shape, as he commented:

“Every day that passes, you’re one step closer to coming back, and I’m going to try to return even stronger than I was. I want to be strong and help the team as soon as possible.”

The Moroccan forward also opened up on his journey in this recovery process:

“Accepting it was the first step. After two or three days, you have to get up, start working, and focus on returning as soon as possible. Injuries are the worst part of football. It’s tough… In my case, it makes you stop, keeps you away from your passion, and you miss the matches at the Bernabéu and away games… But like I said, I’ll try to come back stronger.”

There is no doubt that such lengthy injuries are hard to get over for any footballer. Hopefully, Brahim will stay stronger and continue to work on his recovery to return to his best shape in the coming few months.
