The first few days of the 2024-25 season have been far from good for Real Madrid. The Merengues are already trailing Barcelona with 4 points after their draws against Mallorca and Las Palmas.
On the other hand, injuries are also taking a considerable toll on them. Only in the last few days, there have been several injuries to their players, with Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy, Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, and Eder Militao all getting injured in the last week.
However, there is also one good news on the injury front for Carlo Ancelotti, as MARCA reports that Jude Bellingham’s recovery is going at a very favourable pace. He is expected to join group training as soon as next week, and if he is feeling good, he might even return to availability for the match against Real Sociedad.
Los Blancos are currently on a holiday till Tuesday, but the injured players have still got assignments to complete their recoveries. The Englishman is already looking to reach full fitness soon after remaining out of action for the last two weeks.
He had suffered an injury to his plantar muscle of the right leg on 23rd August in the training ahead of the match against Real Valladolid.
Several other players followed him to the infirmary, and there are currently up to eight Real Madrid players with physical problems, including David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Eder Militao, Aurelien Tchouameni, Ferland Mendy, Jacobo Ramon, and Bellingham himself.
The first three are out with more serious injuries, while the situation of Militao will be determined after further tests on his arrival at Madrid. Bellingham, Tchouameni, and Mendy are expected to be available for the upcoming match against Real Sociedad.
Thus, Ancelotti can breathe a sigh of relief with Bellingham’s return, but he will still be sweating with the situation in the defence as there are only two first-team centre-backs available, Rudiger and Vallejo.
