Courtois, Mbappe to start: Real Madrid predicted lineup against Celta Vigo

Real Madrid travel to the northwest coast of Spain to take on Celta Vigo in their first match after the international break.

Carlo Ancelotti did not hint as to whether he will continue playing with a four-man midfield or shift back to playing with three in the middle, but the Italian showed his confidence in Lucas Vazquez to replace Dani Carvajal.

Here is how Real Madrid can lineup against Celta Vigo:

GK: Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian returns to the side after suffering an injury in the Madrid derby. He looked like the Courtois of old times at the start of the season and would be eager to continue from where he left off.

RB: Lucas Vazquez

This will not be one of those rare times where Lucas makes an appearance to give Carvajal some rest but in fact, he will be seen a lot in the lineup from here on. Vulnerable at times but can put in a 7/10 performance here and there. If this move does not work out, Éder Militão may take his place.

CB: Antonio Rüdiger

Enjoyed a successful international break, to add to the solid season he has been having with Madrid so far. An obvious and easy choice to start, the German has an added responsibility of being the ‘leader’ in defence in Carvajal’s absence.

CB: Eder Militao

The Brazilian will have extra responsibilities for the rest of the season as he may play at right-back – but for now he will play at his preferred position. Militao is going through a purple patch and this game should add to it.

LB: Ferland Mendy

Not been at his best so far but he sure has the ability to turn it around. The Frenchman would hope to repay the faith Carlo Ancelotti has put in him in recent times.

CDM: Aurelien Tchouaméni

This particular Frenchman has been a vital part of the side so far. Despite making some mistakes, he has had good outings. Aurelien has the best passing success rate in La Liga this season – 92.5%

RM: Fede Valverde

The Uruguayan is perhaps in the form of his life. Has started all the matches except one, but still made an appearance in that particular fixture. Hopefully, it will be another usual day at the office for him.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga

The Frenchman has shown since his return why is he regarded as one of the best talents in world football. Scored a goal for France and has looked decent with Madrid so far. Will look to extend his good form.

LM: Jude Bellingham

A sure shot starter if he is fit and against Celta, it will be no different. The 21-year old scored against the same side in their home last season in a 0-1 victory, when the Englishman was making a name for himself at showing the world what he is capable of.

ST: Vinicius Junior

Scored an absolute banger against Villarreal before being subbed off due to an injury. Seems to have recovered and would be raring to go and continue his merry ways.

ST: Kylian Mbappe

Despite having scored 7 goals in 10 games this season, Mbappe has not really blown oppositions away like he was excepted too. His performance in the last match was below average but if someone can change his fortunes in no time, it is the 2018 World Cup winner.
