Brahim 8.5, Militao 8.0 | Real Madrid 3-0 Real Valladolid: Player ratings

Date:

Real Madrid emerged victorious in what was a rather comfortable outing against Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Jude Bellingham’s absence was not felt too much as other players stepped up in what was a dominating display from Los Blancos.

The first half was frustrating but the second half was where the Merengues showcased their superiority over the visiting side.

The following ratings reflect how the Real Madrid players fared in this match.

Player ratings:

Thibaut Courtois: 7.0

The Belgian did not have to do much throughout the game with his only piece of action coming in the 52nd minute. However, he would be delighted to have kept a cleansheet.

Dani Carvajal: 7.0

A rare quiet performance from the Spaniard. Did not make as many attacking runs as we are used to seeing but kept his ground and did not lose the ball.

Eder Militao: 8.0

Perhaps his best display in a Real Madrid shirt in a long time. Recorded an assist as well and won the battle against his marker. Carlo Ancelotti would be delighted to see the Brazilian’s return to form.

Antonio Rüdiger: 7.5

Almost had an assist when Mbappe volleyed his cross but was saved by the keeper. The German was sloppy on a few occasion but other than that, another solid display.

Fran García: 6.5

The Spaniard could not make much of his opportunity at left-back with Ferland Mendy out with a suspension. Defensively good but only had one cross in the 2nd half to Arda Güler.

Aurelien Tchouaméni: 7.5

A typical defensive midfielder performance from the Frenchman. Played a few long balls and was defensively involved throughout the game. Clearances, blocked shots, interceptions and tackles – he won it all.

Fede Valverde: 8.0

A brilliant display in the midfield from the Uruguayan despite struggling for rhythm in the first half. Gave Real Madrid the lead and from thereon made no mistakes whatsoever.

Arda Güler: 7.0

The Turk took Jude’s place in the lineup and had a decent outing. Had four shots on goal and switched between the right wing and number 10 throughout the game. Could have been a tad bit more clinical though.

Rodrygo: 7.0

The Brazilian continued his good form from the previous game. Had an assist to his name after just touching the ball once for Fede to score the free-kick. However, he lost his footing while playing a cross to an unmarked Vinícius inside the box.

Kylian Mbappe: 7.0

The Frenchman will have to wait a bit longer to score his first La Liga goal. Again, like the previous match, he got close by having 3 of his shots saved by the keeper.

Vinícius Júnior: 7.0

Proved to be a menace yet again on the left wing and caused trouble throughout the game. Found Mbappe inside the box on a few occasions and had as many as 3 key passes.

Substitutes:

Brahim Díaz: 8.5

The Moroccan was a delight to watch in his 27-minute display. Chipped the goal keeper to score a goal and set up Endrick nicely for the third goal of the game.

Luka Modric: 7.0

A soothing performance from the Croatian. Held his ground well, won his duels and was comfortable on the ball.

Dani Ceballos: 6.5

Played just 12 minutes and was a good option in the midfield as the Spaniard did not lose the ball and had a 100% passing accuracy.

Endrick: 7.5

The 18-year old showed what he is capable of. Was not involved in the game much other than the goal but that shot he took was insanely powerful to beat the keeper from a tight spot. It may take time to integrate him the squad and he will continue to have such small cameos. The youngster will have to make the most of them – like he did in this match.
