Bellingham names two Real Madrid legends as the best players he has played with

Date:

Having arrived only in the last summer transfer window, the English midfielder Jude Bellingham has been quick to become one of the favorites of the Real Madrid fans.

The midfielder has definitely deserved this love because of his performances on the pitch, but his comments and actions off the pitch have also contributed a lot to him making his home in the hearts of the Merengue fans.

One can reasonably expect this bond between the player and the fans to be strengthened even further after the comments Bellingham made in his latest media appearance. As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the midfielder appeared in a quick interview with the Topps UK program, in which he shared some of the highlights of his career.

One of the questions he was asked in this interview was about the best players he has ever played with in his career, and the Englishman was unable to decide between two Real Madrid legends:

“I’ve played with great footballers in Dortmund and England, but I think Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are the best. They play a different sport than the rest. They’re 10 steps ahead of everyone else at all times.”

When asked about the more memorable highlight of his career, he picked a match from his only season at the Spanish club:

“I would say the Clásico (from the first half of the season). I scored two goals, I was able to help the team. The atmosphere is intense before the match, you can feel the pressure coming from everywhere and when you win it’s a huge relief, and the way we won was very, very good.”

Bellingham named the Champions League as the trophy that he wants to win the most: “The Champions League. If you’re a player at Madrid, you have to go for it, and it’s the one I want the most.”

Being an informal affair, another question put to the midfielder was whom he would pick to accompany him if he was stranded on a deserted island, and Bellingham had a Real Madrid teammate in mind for this purpose:

“Probably Tchouaméni. He’s intelligent, fun, we have similar interests, and he’s very smart; he’d find a way to get us out of there.”

The Englishman also opened up about his hobbies and mentioned doing everyday activities like exploring restaurants and going out for coffee as the things he does in his spare time.

But his responses about his professional career show how much of an influence Real Madrid has on him, and the Merengue fans will definitely be happy to see him pick two club legends as the best players he has played with and being enamored with the memory of his two goals against Barcelona.
