Real Madrid are set to face Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League after having advanced to the penultimate round of the tournament with their win over Manchester City.
Real Madrid will have their confidence at the top as they beat one of the best teams currently in Europe to get to this stage of the tournament, and also recently beat one of their most hated rivals, FC Barcelona, to pave their way to another La Liga title.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are not having the best of seasons as they have lost the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen after having retained it for eleven consecutive seasons.
Still, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, the star striker of the Bavarian team, Harry Kane, was confident that the two European powerhouses would be in a state of war as they face each other next Tuesday. The English striker was praising his compatriot, Jude Bellingham, as he made these comments.
Talking about the Real Madrid midfielder, Kane said: “Jude has had a fantastic season, he’s a true top-level player, and of course, I’m happy for him.”
“It will be another war against his team. These are the experiences for which we both traveled abroad, to live those great nights in the Champions League and play in the big semifinals.”
Furthermore, Kane was clear that his bonds of nationality with Bellingham will take a backseat in this tie, and both of them will be looking to give their best for their respective teams:
“It will be an experience for both of us. Of course, I’ll greet him, but when we’re both on the field, it’s about giving our best for the team.”
Kane will be one of the most dangerous Bayern players that Real Madrid will have to worry about. However, they themselves will have a very potent English weapon, as Bellingham is having a top-class first season with Real Madrid, and will be looking to be one of the protagonists in this high-stakes match.
