Real Madrid duo put aside their differences after recent spat

Date:

Even at a club like Real Madrid, spats between teammates can be a troublesome occurrence. More often than not, it is usually the opponents who end up on the bad side of the stars of Los Blancos.

However, handling issues between teammates is also something that the man management in Real Madrid has had to do on occasions.

The most recent of such occurrences took place at the Son Moix, when Real Madrid took on Mallorca away from home. Despite the game ending in a close 1-0 victory for the Merengues, there were moments of uncertainty during the game.

One such moment came at the expense of some tension brewing between Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde and forward Brahim Diaz. As per the recollections of the incident available, the incident was initiated by Diaz having possession of the ball and not passing it, much to Valverde’s frustration.

As a consequence, the Uruguayan had to make extra efforts to stop the counterattack from Mallorca due to Diaz’s lapse in judgment. This frustrated Valverde and he even hurled some derogatory words towards his Real Madrid teammate. As usual, the media latched onto this spat and created a massive issue out of it.

However, after the game as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, both players have cooled down the tempered waters. Publishing a picture of them together, smiling, both players posted the image on their respective Instagram stories to cool down the brewing drama that was made out to be more than it actually is.

With a massive encounter against Manchester City coming up next for Los Blancos, the team needs to be more united than ever. Spats like this are common in the world of football, but they must be addressed and settled in time. For Real Madrid, unity and cohesion are the two essential virtues that they can not compromise on at this point of the season.
