Official: Real Madrid squad for La Liga match against Villarreal

Date:

Real Madrid face Villarreal in their upcoming La Liga fixture, which will also be the last official home match of the team for the year 2023. The Merengues will be looking for a victory in this match, especially after having drawn the last La Liga match against Real Betis.

The draw last week saw Real Madrid drop down to the second position in the league table, after Girona came out victorious against Barcelona. Now, Real Madrid are two points below Girona, who lead the table with forty-one points.

A win in this match will also see Real Madrid extend their lead over third-placed Barcelona to seven points.

However, getting this victory will be no easy task, especially with all the important players out with injuries. Players like Dani Carvajal, Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militao, and Thibaut Courtois, remain unavailable for this match, but Aurelien Tchouameni can make a return for this match as he trained with the team this week.

The Frenchman is a part of the official squad published by the club, and the other players included in the list are:

  2. Kepa Arrizabalaga
  3. Mario de Luis

Defenders
